Trolley on the Mickelson Trail
During the summer months, on every second Tuesday
Trolley Rides are available for the Mickelson Trail. The
ride begins at Deadwood Bicycles at the head of the
Mickelson Trail. The Trolley will transport the riders
to Englwood where it will drive on the Mickelson Trail
to the historic gold mining town of Rochford.
Along the way the Trolley will pass several trestles and
one rock tunnel. Scenery along that section of the trail
includes pine forest, meadows and groves of poplars.
Points of interest include the highest point attained on
the Mickelson Trail, as well as the Dumont Trailhead, Nahant--
the historic spot where Gen. G.A. Custer purportedly shot
and killed a Grizley Bear. "Put a lid on it." and a few
gold mine remnants.
During the summer months, on every second Tuesday
Trolly Rides are available for individuals with disabilities
