Bulldog Section - Centennial Trail #89
Description
A moderate single track trail, part of the Centennial Trail,
#89. The Centennial Trail disects the heart of the scenic
Black Hills for 110 miles from north to south. This section
starts at the Alkalai Creek Trailhead and proceeds south for
as long as you want to ride it.
Directions:
From Deadwood Bicycles, exit left from
the parking lot and drive north through Deadwood. Connect
onto 14A and proceed straight out of town toward Sturgis, through
Boulder Canyon. Enter Highway I-90 East to exit #34, National
Cemetary. Turn left, under the highway, and into the Alkalai
Creek Recreation Area. Park in the first parking lot. Once
on your bike, exit the lot to the left, crossing the entrance
road toward the fence line. Climb over the cattle guard and
keep left toward the highway. The trail will veere left under
the highway and continue southward through the Hills.
Be sure to close all gates you open.
