Predominately a hiking trail that runs north to south through
the Black Hills, the Centennial Trail is more a more rugged,
moderate to difficult trail.
With several trailheads a variety of rides can be completed,
such as Bulldog, and
Elk Creek to Dalton
There are sections, such as the Black Elk Wilderness, where
wheeled vehicles are not allowed, in such cases there are
alternate routes posted for the trail.
Alan Mason, one of the shop owners completed the entire trail in
one day (~21 hours).
